Super Spy London

Well, it happened again. London passed out, on the living room floor this time; she just had too much fun that day (Sunday, I believe).

What did she do that was so fun you ask? Scroll down and see for yourself!

Introducing........ Super Spy LONDON!

London had TONS of fun with Nana while Daddy was out and Mommy took a shower. They both were adorable; however, Nana declined to have her picture taken in her super spy costume:)
I will post Christmas pictures soon, I just had to share this first though!

This is What Happens....

when you've had too much fun in the snow! I guess you really can never have too much fun; either way, it was too much something for poor London. You saw our pictures from this past Sunday, well on Monday I ventured out for a walk with the kids to deliver Christmas cards to the people that live near to us. Again London had TONS of fun, making footprints in the snow, and just in general being outside.
I started to get dinner ready around 4:00 and sat London at the table to play with her playdoh and shortly later looked over to check on her because it dawned on me that there was some unusual silence, and this is what I saw. My little sweetheart..... I am so thankful that I thought to take a picture because, really, what a rare moment.
I moved London to the living room floor, hoping that she would wake up on her own, but ended up waking her up around 5:30. Honestly, I think that I probably could have let her sleep straight through to the morning, oh well...... it was a fun day:)
Only 4 more sleeps until Jason is home and 7 more sleeps until Christmas!

Two Posts In One Day!

London having fun looking at the tracks she made in the snow

Catching snowflakes on her tongue

Eating a "snow apple", sitting on her "snow chair"

London and Davis sharing some space on the "snow chair"

London was putting snow on Davis so he wouldn't miss out on the full snow experience:)

Hello Everyone!

It's begun snowing here in Abbotsford, not a lot, but enough that it's sticking on the ground. London and Nana went outside to play in the snow today and Davis and I joined them for a little bit after Davis woke up from his nap.

London LOVES playing in the snow which is a vastly different picture from last year. I recall taking her outside with me because I couldn't leave her alone inside and I had to shovel (the million tons of snow that we got) and London would only walk on the areas that I had already shovelled. "Walking" is a loose term, she would stand in one spot and look pathetic until I finally told her that we could go back inside. If snow got on her shoes, or anywhere else for that matter, it was not a good situation.

Jump forward to this year, and the snow falling is a very exciting thing indeed. I know that Jason is going to have lots of fun playing outside with the kids when he comes home next!

Davis Loves His Wheels! (Just Like Dad)

London received this sit to stand toy from her Uncle Derek and Auntie Jaime last year and she absolutely loved it and got lots of use from it. I know that you can't see it clearly in the pictures, however, those of you with small children know that it's one of those toys that all kids (even the ones that are too big) gravitate towards.
My mom was playing witht the kids in the toy room the other day and she sat Davis on the "car". He LOVED it (as you can tell). I think that there may be a genetic relationship between boys and things with a steering wheel....... I'm just saying.....
Anyway, I hope that you're all enjoying your Sunday. London is sooooo excited to see the snow coming down. We'll see if we actually make it outside to play in the wonderful white stuff:)

Christmas Stockings

Hello!

My mom has made everyone in the family our own GORGEOUS Christmas stockings. London has been more aware and increasingly excited about Christmas this year. Here she is having some fun with our stockings.

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Davis Loves His Toes

Hello Everyone!

Davis has discovered his toes! Now when I'm changing his diaper, he grasps his toes and holds on (which is actually quite helpful). He seems to really love just playing with his feet and rolling around on the carpet - actually, that doesn't sound like a bad way to spend a day.
I'm actually trying to get Davis sitting up by himself more. I have to confess, with Jason out of town a lot, Davis doesn't get the "tummy time" or other things like that. As long as London and Davis are happy and I can cross as many things off of my to do list as I can, we're good to go. I don't think too much about anything else.
Anyway, all of that to say, that Davis is about 1.5 pounds away from growing out of the infant carrier seat and it would be very nice if, when that happens, he was able to sit up on his own. If he's not, it'll be interesting to see how grocery shopping and those types of trips go..... we shall see.

Every Child Needs To Have

a picture of themselves with their underwear on their head!
London has been fighting a cold the last few days. We've (I keep saying that, but really it's, "I've") got her fever under control and now I'm just dealing with a runny nose and a happy child who has moments of great emotional distress (due to not feeling well).
This morning I was on the phone and quickly hung up because I head London crying her "something is seriously wrong cry", only to find out she wanted to watch Mickey Mouse, not Handy Manny.........
I did manage to start my Christmas baking, which I am very excited about. However, between that, pureeing things for Davis to eat, and making meals, I feel like I never leave the kitchen. Oh well, there are worse places a person could be.

More Davis Pics

This first picture is of Davis playing with his new toy from Grandpa Schween. I know that you can't really see the toy; however, I think the great smile is more fun to look at. Thanks grandpa for the present (and happy belated birthday as well:)

Here is another picture of Davis in his lion costume. We actually had this costume from London's first Halloween. We were joking that since Davis and London look so similar as babies, that if we forgot to take pictures, we would just show Davis a picture of London dressed up as the lion and tell him that it was him. Although; Davis often has his toungue sticking out, and I really don't remember London doing that (not as regularly anyway), so I guess that that would be a give away as to which baby is in the picture. We did remember to take some pictures, though, so we're safe this time.

Halloween

Some friends of ours came over with their kids last night and we took them out trick-or-treating. I wasn't sure about how it would go; however, we had SO MUCH FUN! The kids quickly picked up on the fact that when they knocked on doors, people opened up and gave them candy; they were soon running from door to door! I know that I'm biased, but they were pretty darned cute! The sun was shining, it wasn't too cold, all in all, a perfect evening.

Davis actually was sleeping while we were out and so I put him in his costume for the two minutes that it took for us to take this picture (he won't ever know if you don't tell him:)

Mmmmm..... Solid Food

Hello Everyone!

I started Davis on solid food a couple of weeks ago now. Oh the joy of peeling, dicing, steaming, pureeing, freezing....... I felt like it took Davis a little longer to catch on to eating solids, than it took London - but really; who knows? So far Davis is really enjoying avocado and more recently apple puree!
The bottom two pictures I thought were really cute. London found Davis's hat from the summer and plopped it on his head, which he clearly thought was lots of fun!

My Mom is Awesome!

Hello Everyone!

Jason got home today for another 5 day stretch. My mom so kindly took off of work early so that we could take advantage of the sunshine and get some family photos done. I am so blessed to have a mom who can take awesome pictures to preserve our family's memories.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE how they turned out. The fall leaves and sunny setting just made the difference for me. Well.... that, and my kids are pretty darned cute too!

Our Edmonton Trip - Part 2

Hello Everyone!

London and I have been home for almost a week now and are going to pick up Jason from the airport tomorrow! Here are a few pictures from our last day in Edmonton. We had a relaxing morning (mostly because it was Sunday and the mall didn't open until 11:00am). Mini Golf was our first stop of the day. Jason handed London the putter and told her it was like playing hockey....... not sure if that was smart; however, she had fun. London lasted for about half the course and then got tired of trying to hit the ball with the putter so she resorted to THROWING the golf balls down each course. I know, I know, hard to believe that MY child would do that..... but she did. Luckily, there weren't too many people around and both Jason and I convinced her that rolling the balls down the green (is it still called that in mini golf) was much more fun!

After that we finished our shopping and then our last stop was to watch the sea lion show. Now, I have to admit that I wasn't actually very excited about this but thought that it would be something London would enjoy. It turned out to be the opposite; both Jason and I loved the show and London was so exhausted she kinda sorta cared..... but not really.

Well, my garburator is backing up into my sinks so that's what Jason gets to look at first when he gets home tomorrow (love you honey) :) I'm off to bed to get a little bit of rest hopefully, it's going to be another busy week!

Our Edmonton Trip

London on the airplane

West Edmonton Mall!

Galaxyland!

Racing 'Around the World'

Jason getting on the rollercoaster

More Galaxyland

Hello from Edmonton!
First of all, I have to say that I clearly remember moving to Abbotsford (in 1988) and thinking that everyone there was a huge wimp when it came to the weather. I freely admit that I am one of those wimps now - it is COLD here. I heard that it snowed today but since we were inside all day, we missed it.

London was amazing (of course) and really enjoyed her first plane ride. Unfortunately we were seated overlooking the wing and the glare off of it from the sun was very bright so we had the window closed for mostly of the flight to avoid being blinded.

After checking into our hotel yesterday, we headed straight over to West Edmonton Mall to the waterpark for the afternoon. Unfortunately, since I didn't want to carry my camera around the waterpark, I don't have any pictures to show you. Both Jason and I were impressed by the number and variety of slides available.

We hit one of the food courts for dinner since London was all but falling asleep on Jason's shoulder and then headed back to our hotel to crash.

Today we started the day with breakfast at the hotel where Jason saw a friend from work (small world), then headed straight over to the mall again to do some shopping and then spend some time in Galaxyland.

Again, I was really impressed with London; she didn't love everything that she tried, but she was much more adventurous than I had expected. Maybe this is a sign that my baby is no longer a baby. Anyway, we broke up the day by doing some more shopping and then heading back to Galaxyland; however, by that time it had gotten crazy busy so we were happy that we had been able to enjoy everything that we wanted to before it got really crowded.
We ate dinner on Bourbon Street (inside the mall) and then came back to our hotel to relax. As I write this, we are all cuddled up on the bed with our Kernels popcorn watching a Mickey Mouse movie with London.

All in all, this has been an awesome weekend. I was feeling like a very bad mother for leaving Davis for the weekend, but I know that he is having fun with his Nana and I think that the one on one time with London has been really good for her. I told Jason that having the two of us together to take care of only one child has felt a bit like playing house instead of me by myself taking care of two kids. It probably also helps that I am not at home with all of the things that need to be done while I'm there.

I think we're going to try and fit in some mini golf tomorrow before we fly home. London's in bed now and Jason and I are going to watch a movie.
Hope you are all having an awesome weekend too!
