London's Birthday

Again, it has become clear to me that I am terrible at remembering to take pictures. These are the only pictures that I have from London's birthday. There is one of London on our way to her party, pictures of the cookies and cake pops ('cause I really want to look back on those pictures 40 years from now) and nothing else....... In my defense, I did try to take a picture of London while she was bouncing in the bouncy castle but it didn't work trying to take the picture through the mesh sides plus it was quite dim. After that, I put my camera down and never picked it back up.
My mom took pictures at the family dinner that we had for London, so I know that there will at least be some good shots from that night.
The above pictures are of London modelling her new boots and sitting in the new princess chair that she received from her Grandpa Munro. The boots are still a little large but will fit her well by next fall and in the meantime, work wonderfully and rocketships for all of her little people and animals!

Hello From the Munro's

Here are the cookies that I made for London's birthday party this Sunday. Jason actually helped me decorate them. After he offered to help, I let him start out with putting the yellow in the centres of the flowers and then decided that I trusted him enough to give him creative freedom with his own cookies. I think that he did a fantastic job and it was a lot of fun to do together instead of the chore it would have been alone!

Christmas!

Hello Everyone!
I hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas. Ours was awesome and BUSY; although, Christmas is now over a week past and we still seem to be doing a lot of running around. I can't complain, we've had some really great visits with family and friends and I really enjoy being able to do that.
Since New Year's Eve day, I've had a couple of 'kitchen' days and so far have made 4 lasagnas, 3 batches of meatballs, 20 stuffed potatoes, 3 batches of southwestern chili, jambalaya, and a butternut squash and mango soup that thankfully Mom and John like because Jason and I decided that it wasn't to our taste. (Our inferiour pallets could not handle the superior taste:)
I still have to do the preparations for London's birthday dinner and party and then I'm very much looking forward to not spending too much time in the kitchen for a while.
We're really enjoying Jason's extended stay at home and it's really going to suck when he has to go back to work. Oh well, we'll cross that bridge when we get there.
Happy New Year Everyone!
Andrea
