No Pictures, But A Cute Story

Yesterday as we were walking upstairs, London announced to me that she and I were girls and that Davis is a boy.  I told her that she was right and asked if Daddy was a boy or a girl.  She correctly answered that Daddy was a boy like Davis and that she and I were still girls.  I told her that she was very smart to know that and asked her if she knew if Nana was a girl like us or a boy like Daddy and Davis.  She very quietly and almost reverently said," Nana is a princess mommy......" (awwwww, too cute right?)....."and Papa John is a GORILLA!"

Ahhh the things that our kids say:)

How Could I Forget

I've had these pictures for a while now and kept forgetting to post them.  London LOVES the 5 o'clock hour when she hears Nana come home.  That means a reprieve from boring mommy and lots of fun with Nana to her.  As you can see, Nana, ummmmmmmm....... I mean the annonomous person in the Fruit Loops box, is lots and lots of FUN to play with.

A Few Pictures For You

London received this Elmo as a Christmas gift last year (2008).  She loves Elmo but it did take her a while to get used to a singing and talking Elmo that resided in her toy room.  She like to watch him from afar, and I do mean A-FAR; however, she was very careful to not ever get to close to him, even if it was just walking by where he was standing.  She did eventually get over that and now loves to honk his nose and play with him.

Davis saw Elmo in action for the first time last week, and, as you can see, did not have any of the same reservations that London did!

London decided to try on Mrs. Potato Head's glasses while she was playing the other day.  She was actually doing laps around the house while she was wearing them but I wasn't quick enough to get that picture.  It was pretty hilarioius to watch her running with her head tilted up so that she could see under the bottom of the glasses.  I guess it was funny because, thankfully, she didn't wipe out or crash into anything in the process, which was a very real possibility:)

And, finally, London and Davis enjoying some cuddles with Daddy on his last trip home.

Our Maiden Voyage

Hello Everyone!

Jason and I went to pick up our new trailer this past Saturday and then headed out for our first camping trip of the year.  Thankfully, my mom took some pictures of the trailer for us as we loaded up so I have something to show you.  (She's the best!)  We only went as far as Hope, to a not so spectacular campground, but had SO MUCH FUN.  Derek, Jaime, and Lauren met us at the campsite and helped us set up and visited for a while.  Then on Sunday, the Cooks and the Kuvas came out and we took the kids to the Othello Tunnels.  I didn't realize that the tunnels would be closed (with a huge, locked, chain link fence.)  However, we didn't let a little thing like a locked fence stop us; the moms and bigger kids climbed over some rocks and made it around to the other side of the fence, and the dads passed the smaller kids and strollers over the fence!  Honestly, I think that it may have made it even more fun!  We're so excited and can't wait for many many more camping trips this year!

Derek's Birthday Dinner

Derek, Jaime, and 'cute cousin Lauren' (verbatim from London) came over on Friday so that we could celebrate Derek's 30th birthday.  We had a great family time together visiting and playing Guitar Hero.  I love the pictures of the cousins together - it's too sweet!  Also the one of Uncle Derek helping London to play the drums....... okay, I love them all - it was a really fun night:)

Davis is Crawling!

Hello Everyone!  I know that I haven't posted anything new in forever; please forgive me!  Davis started crawling a couple of weeks ago - we're so excited!  He still often finds it quicker/easier to roll to his destination - probably less painful too since he sometimes puts a little to much power into his crawl and ends up faceplanting on the floor.  I hope that he gets over that soon since I don't think that his poor little nose is going to take much more abuse.

Here are a couple of pictures from a trip to the park that we took some time ago.  I can tell it's been a while because lately when we go to the park, it's with sunglasses and sun hats, not winter hats and mittens:)
