The Last Few Days

Hello Everyone!
Jason was home this past week and we had an awesome family time together.  As you can see, we got some snow (it's all pretty much gone now) so we stuffed the kids into their snow gear and went outside to play!
Davis had some fun, but honestly, was almost done by the time we got his snowsuit on.  London, on the other hand, was so excited to be outside playing in the snow.  Unfortunately, the snow wasn't wet enough to build a snowman, so London gracefully settled for a snow castle..... (it was a pile of snow :)

We pulled out the tree to decorate.  Let me just say that this is the last year for this tree - next year we're getting a pre-lit tree which I'm hoping will make the whole decorating process more enjoyable:)  London is in her dance outfit since she had had a dance class that morning and Jason and I let her put most of the decorations on the tree.  As you can imagine, there is a large concentration of ornaments on the bottom third of the tree!  I'll have to move some decorations a little north, otherwise there won't be too much room for presents under the tree :)

Davis woke up from his nap to find a Christmas tree in the living room.  He was pretty excited to see the sparkly pretty things but has so far kept his fingers off!  (THANK GOODNESS)  Here he is enjoying a Christmas cookie while he pretend vacuums - pretty much a perfect afternoon for Davis!

Westjest has changed their flight schdule for the winter season and as a result Jason didn't have to be at the airport until 4pm today.  After we got home from church this morning, Jason built this castle with London.  Okay, that's a bit of a lie...... after London covered herself in glue and glitter, she went and changed her clothes and abandoned Jason to build the castle by himself.  He also made London an angel to go with the castle at her request!

It's been fun getting our house decorated for Christmas and getting ourselves into the Christmas spirit.  London is in the kids' Christmas play at our church next weekend and I can't wait to see her up there singing (at least I hope that she'll sing along :)  Jason has a bit of extra time off over Christmas so he'll be home from the 17th until the new year.  I expect we'll be spending a lot of time packing since we've decided to move up to Fort McMurray.  Jason's meeting with a realtor to look at places and we're hoping to move up sometime in February.  It's a big change, but I'm looking forward to having our family all in one spot again so I think it's a good change as well!

Halloween

London and Nana carved the pumpking that they brought home from the pumpkin patch last week.  London had so much fun, and I was happy that I didn't have to touch the yucky pumpkin innards :)

Davis in his monkey costume!  He actually had a lot of fun dressing up for which I was very happy.  The last time I had his costume on, he didn't love it so much.  We went over to a friend's house in the evening to trick-or-treat together; and while I knew that London was really looking forward to the whole thing, I was pleasantly surprised by how much Davis participated and had fun too!

Our butterfly and monkey

Okay, so there are a few pictures where it looks like London is grabbing her bum.  She is....... kindof - her pants were too big and falling down, and she was trying her best to hold them up.  I'd feel badly for her, except I wish that I was so thin that my pants would fall off :)
