We've settled into our new place now, and once we found space for everything are really enjoying it. EXCEPT for one thing - the snow removal at our townhouse SUCKS:( I get so worked up because I can look out to the complex behind us and see their snow getting removed beautifully. And I do mean beautifully! Their guy, scrapes it down to the ground and even clears people's driveways if they aren't home. I, on the other hand, have to put the truck in 4wd once I enter our complex just to make it to my front door. Grrrrrrrrr. Jason had completely cleared our driveway, the weather had warmed up a bit and snow was melting, but since the 'road way' (whatever you want to call it) wasn't cleared at all, the melted snow had nowhere to go and ended up creating a lake at the end of our driveway. DOUBLE Grrrrrrr.
Anyway, our 'guy' FINALLY cleared some of the snow away on Monday night (please don't even get me started, he did a half ass job) and when Jason got home from school yesterday he went to work shovelling away the ice that had been left behind from our 'lake'.
As you can see - the kids went outside to 'help' and had lots of fun in the fresh air before it was time to come in for dinner!
Davis is so sweet and says 'cheese' for me anytime I pull out the camera. Sometimes it's a slightly 'not good' thing though, because he stops doing whatever I was trying to capture on film to look and say cheese. (yes I know that's not correct, but it sounds so weird to say 'capture on memory disk') I won't complain though, considering I have the exact opposite problem with London........
This morning, I had a craft project ready to do with the kids. I usually reserve these to do with only London while Davis is sleeping. He is getting older and I wanted to include him today - just to see how far my sanity would stretch basically.
We (London and I) made fridge magnets and Davis amused himself with the craft supplies. I know that they both had fun, but I'm not too proud to admit that I probably had the most fun. Well, it is possible that my attention span is the longest of the 3 of us, which could account for my wanting to continue after they had moved on :)
I'm not even going to tell you how many pictures I had to take before I got her to move the (darned) cute creature out from in front of her face.....
Davis's idea of a 'good time' with pom poms!
