Finger Painting!!!

Probably about a month ago now, I decided to let go of my inner neat freak and let the kids finger paint.  London received these paints for her 1st birthday and they had yet to be opened.  I'm not going to lie, a fairly large part of me hoped that they would be dried out and unusable; alas, it was not to be......

As you can see, we actually had quite a bit of fun and I've taped their pictures up on the wall to proudly display them!

London's First Day Of School - Kindergarten!

Wow!  I can't believe that it's been 2 months since I've posted anything on here.  I'm SORRY! I need to get our summer vacation pictures from Jason, since he downloaded them onto his computer and then deleted the memory card.  Hopefully that will happen this week, but you may just be seeing our Alberta roadtrip and our upcoming Disneyland trip all at the same time.

Anyhow - Can you believe that London started school today?!!!  She was so excited and I'm sure that she's going to have a great time.  I've heard nothing but fabulous things about her teacher (Mrs. Jackman). 

I bought all of London's school supplies while I was in Edmonton last month.  And planned on labelling them - but it just seemed like there was tons of time before the actual 'First Day'.  So, as I'm sure you can guess, I was writing her name on everything last night and packing it into her backpack.  It didn't actually take that long - maybe 10 minutes :)  I was patting myself on the back this morning though as I watched other parents madly ripping scissors and felts out of the packaging to put away in their child's cubby...... (I know pride is a sin - but hopefully I'm allowed just a wee bit from time to time.....)

Davis was confused as to why we were getting back into the car without London and kept saying her name and asking for her - but I've given him a snack and let him watch some t.v. ...... food and Thomas can distract him from pretty much anything :)

Well, I guess I'll give you the update of how everything went after I hear about it myself!  And I do promise that I haven't forgotten about this blog, it's on my LONG list of things to attend to - soon!!!  :)
