Kite Flying

Hello Everyone!

Jason FINALLY got home late last night after a long day of trying to get out of Fort McMurray.  The plane that he was supposed to catch in the morning didn't land because of the heavy snow, so Jason drove with a friend to Edmonton in hopes of having a better chance of getting a flight from there.  There was actually a warning to not be driving on HWY 63, but he made it to the airport in one piece and eventually flew out and arrived in Abbotsford at 10:30pm - only 12 hours late.

It's been a wonderful relaxing Saturday for us here.  We enjoyed a yummy breakfast (yes, I made it) with Nana and Papa John and then later went outside to fly London's kite and make use of all of this windy weather we've been having!  Davis merely endured, but Nana, Daddy,London and I had a wonderful time!

Having so much fun outside today has made me look forward even more (if that's possible) to all of the camping that we're planning on doing this summer.  I'm really excited for the family memories that we'll be creating.

  1. That was a really fun day. I agree with London - the only good thing about the wind is that kites go really high.
