Gregoire Lake, July 2011

Jason, the kids, and I took the trailer and went camping for Jason's days off last week.  We went to a provincial park about 35 minutes away from Fort McMurray - and despite an initial crummy weather forecast, we enjoyed great weather and a relaxing time away!

I noticed a couple of things while I was uploading these pictures.  The first (which I already knew) was that Davis has his tongue stuck out in A LOT of the pictures.  It may not actually be so noticable to you because Jason and I took about a zillion pictures, so I was able to edit which ones to post here.  I think he sticks his tongue out when he's concentrating...... when he's happy..... when he's - you get the picture!  The other thing that I didn't pick up on until I was going through these photos, was that London has her arms spread in some variation of a dance pose for many of the shots.  So I guess they each have their 'thing', Davis has his tongue hanging out, and London has the superstar pose!

The kids having fun in one of the many mud puddles when we arrived

There were two parks, one near our campsite and one on the beach, for the kids to enjoy!

Davis loves the slides - and also loves playing with our truck keys.  As long as we pay attention to where he puts the keys so we can find them when we need them, it's all good ;)

I am so thankful that Davis likes wearing his hat this year - he looks so cute (and it keeps his head protected from the sun).  However, the brim of the hat hid his face in most of the pictures I took this particular morning :(  I think this is a cute shot though!

A helicporter flew overhead a few times while we were at the lake - Davis couldn't decided if he was terrified of the noise or starstruck because he thought it was Harold the Helicopter (from Thomas the Train)

This is basically what at least 50% of the pictures of Davis that we took last week look like

Wearing Mom's sunglasses!
